The Weaving Process - A Pictorial Essay

We start with Raw Materials, like these wool shirts.

We cut off all the buttons, pockets, cuffs, and collars. We then wash what remains of the shirts.

The shirts are then cut into panels.
The panels are then cut into strips.

The strips are bundled until there are enough strips to make a rug.
The strips are then sorted and sewn together.

The sewn rags are then rolled into balls, until it is time to weave them into a rug.
